Welcome to FarmVille, Rusty!

Yay! Rusty’s here! The famous lead singer of the Rusty Nails band, wants to learn how to handle animals and brush up on his farm skills. Let’s help by building a Farm Academy and collecting Lesson Notes. A baby Milking Shorthorn Cow awaits as your reward.

If you are level 15, the "Welcome to FarmVille, Rusty!" pop-up will appear. Click on the "Build Farm Academy" button and the building frame is automatically placed outside your farm near the foraging area.

To start building, collect all the materials you need.

Next, ask your friends to be builders or you can hire them.

The finished Farm Academy will look like this.

Click on the building to view the menu.

There are three ways to collect Lesson Notes. One way is to complete farm lessons. When choosing which farm lesson you would like Rusty to learn, please take note that each lesson gives out a different number of Lesson Notes.

Click on the lesson you’ve chosen to see the tasks that needs to be completed. To see the tasks for the other lessons, simply click on the left or right arrows.

After completing the tasks you’ll be given rewards that you can share.

You’ll also be able to watch while Rusty practice the farm skill that he needs to learn.

The two other ways to collect Lesson Notes are by asking your friends for help and by purchasing Lesson Notes.

You can keep track of how many Lesson Notes you’ve already collected by checking the counter at the lower left corner of the menu.

You start earning rewards when you’ve reached specific milestones.

20 Lesson Notes = 4 Musical Fences

55 Lesson Notes = Resource Pack

105 Lesson Notes = 4 Musical Fences

170 Lesson Notes = a baby Milking Shorthorn Cow

When you have collected enough Lesson Notes, you’ll be prompted to redeem and share your reward.

The FarmVille Games!

The First Annual FarmVille Games are here and it's time to show what you're made of! Compete in fun-filled farm games and go for the gold!

If you are at least level 12, you will see a pop-up inviting you to the FarmVille Games! You will need to force close the game to see the update, which means to clear it from your mobile device's memory. You may even need to reboot your device.



Start off the quests by visiting the FarmVille Games Stadium, located behind Eagle Eye Eddie's airplane. The Event HQ is where you earn Style points, and display the leaderboard.



The FarmVille Games start on 9/14/2016. It has 2 stages, giving you a total of 12 days to compete with players for the top leaderboard position and complete the FarmVille Games quests.

The top 5 players at the end of each stage get to earn the exclusive Greyhound Farm Hand. Those ending up in the Silver tier will get  Gold Stamps, Padlocks, and Keys, while players in the Bronze tier will get Silver Stamps, Padlocks, and Golden Gloves!

The 2nd Stage will start on 9/20/2016, giving you another shot to win the Greyhound as a Farm Hand. If you have won the Greyhound from the first stage, this stage will give you the chance to upgrade her to a Tracksuit Greyhound.

Note: You will only be able to earn one of the rewards, not all three! Your rank on the last day of the event determines the reward you will receive!



The FarmVille Games Stadium is located behind Eagle Eye Eddie. You will see 3 orders at a time that either can be harvested (crops), or crafted. Each item requested will have a different timer to allow you time to get the items needed.

Tip: Check the Farm Stand often to see if your friends are selling what you need.



Boosts: Gold and Silver Torches

You can boost the amount of Sytle points by 50% for coins, or by 100% with keys. There will be a timer once a boost is activated and a short cool-down period when you can buy another boost. Boosts will last 1 hour, and you can only select one boost at a time. (prices subject to change based on level)

Leaderboard:

The second tab will show you the leaderboard that you are in. Not everyone you know will be in the same leaderboard. The leaderboard tab will tell you which prize category you are currently in (Gold, Silver, or Bronze). You can also see how you rank among your friends. To be fair to all, you will be in a leaderboard with others of the same level.

Rewards:

You will see 3 different rewards that are broken into tiers. If you are in the top (Gold) portion of your leaderboard on the final day of the event, you will get the exclusive Greyhound Farm Hand. If you are in the middle tier (Silver) at the end of the event, you will receive 2 Gold Stamps, 2 Padlocks and 10 Keys. The lowest tier (Bronze) will reward you with 1 Silver Stamp, a Padlock, and 5 Golden Gloves. You will only receive one of the rewards at the end, not all three.



Temporary Place of Interest: Training Field

Across the road from the Event HQ is the Training Field. You can send up to 3 Farm Hands here to get Event items such as Ripe Watermelon, Almonds, and Rubber Extract.



New item needed and where to locate it:

Ripe Watermelon: Training Field, Grandma's Glade, and Prized Animals

Almonds: Training Field, and Merryweather Mine

Rubber Extract: Training Field, Pappy's Pond, Mallard Mill, and the Cove.

Tip: Crafted items that need these ingredients will be worth higher Style points! Make sure to have plenty of these items to help you move up on the leaderboard!

How can I change the audience of my posts from the custom option?

We've received reports from players that they are unable to change the audience of their posts because the option is truncated.

 

There's a workaround that you can do with a few easy steps! An image showing the process is also available below. 

1.) Go to your Privacy Shortcuts by clicking on the lock icon. This will show the available options for you.

2.) Choose 'Who can see my stuff?' to reveal the drop-down menu.

3.) Choose your preferred audience from 'Who can see my future posts?'

 

FarmVille Tropic Escape - How to get Lobsters?

Purchase Lobsters in the Island Store under the Animals tab. You’ll receive a Lobster Trap to place in the water.

 

When you tap on the floating Lobster Trap, you’ll see an icon for Marine Cages. Drag a cage onto the trap and come back later to collect Lobsters. As with other animals, you can use one more Marine Cages. The more cages you use, the longer it will take to collect, but the more Lobsters you’ll get.

 

Marine Cages are crafted at the Smithy. They require Iron Ore.  

  

Iron Ore can be found in the Smugglers’ Cave.  The more Guides and Guests you send to the cave, the better chance you’ll have to get Iron Ore. You can send a total of four visitors.

FarmVille Tropic Escape - Why is my Watch to Earn feature disabled after updating to iOS 10?

We are aware that some iOS users might have limited or no access to Video Ads after upgrading to iOS 10.

Disabling the Limit Ad Tracking should bring back video ads to earn Gems again. 

Go to  Settings>  General>  Privacy>  Advertising and toggle the  Limit Ad Tracking to disable it.
