FarmVille 2 - Celebrate Farmville’s Christmas Traditions!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

FarmVille has its very own Christmas Traditions, and this year, the county is working round the clock to bring them to life. There are twelve Traditions in all, and everyone is looking forward to celebrating them! In return for your help, the county will give you access to the Keepers’ Farm.

If you’re Level 18 and above, a popup will appear that reads, "Farmville’s Christmas Traditions Are Here!" Click on the "Show Me!" button to proceed.

FarmVille’s Book of Christmas Traditions

You’ll now see a preview of the event. It reads, “Celebrate Christmas the FarmVille Way!”

This preview tells you what you need to do to finish the event and win. In three simple steps, you’ll need to:

1. Host Traditions from the Book of Christmas Traditions, and spread the spirit of the holidays through FarmVille.
2. Win as many Keys as possible by hosting Traditions.
3. Host all twelve Traditions to unlock the Keepers’ Farm. The Keys you win will help upgrade this final reward!

Early Access to the Book of Christmas Traditions

You’ll be presented with the option of gaining early access to the event. If you choose to purchase it, you’ll receive extra time to host Traditions, a starter pack of rare items you’ll need for the feature, a beautiful Woodland Reindeer, and most importantly, enough Keys to win a Level 1 Keepers’ Farm!

You can also choose to wait until the general release of the feature.

How do I access the Book of Christmas Traditions?

The Book of Christmas Traditions will be placed under the Tradition Tree on your farm, either when you purchase early access to the feature, or when the general release of the feature takes place.

Both the Book of Christmas Traditions and the Tradition Tree can be found near your Family House, across the road from your farm. Clicking on either one will open the Book of Christmas Traditions.

You can also access the event from the icon on the left of the screen, above your quests.

What’s in the Book of Christmas Traditions?

The Book of Christmas Traditions is a pop-up book that shows you all of FarmVille’s Christmas Traditions.

Each Tradition is a Page in this Book. There are 12 Pages in all.

Each Page has an introductory pop-up that tells you a story about a particular Tradition. Click on the button to continue.

A Page in the Book of Christmas Traditions

You can find out which Page you’re on, and how long you have to finish the event, here.

You’ll need to complete a specific number of tasks to complete a Page and host a Tradition. While you complete these tasks, keep your eyes peeled for exciting parts of the story to pop up on the Page.

There are amazing rewards to be won! If you manage to finish a Page and host a Tradition before the timer runs out, you’ll win bonus Keys.

When you finish hosting a Tradition, the Tradition Tree on your farm will be decorated!

You’ll win a ton of amazing rewards, for each Tradition that you host. Keys are the most important rewards that you can win, and you’ll want to win as many as possible.

Keys help you upgrade the Keepers’ Farm and win maximum benefits from it. You can view your Keepers’ Farm level at any time by clicking on the “View My Level” button, here.

What’s the Keepers’ Farm?

The Keepers’ Farm is a beautiful space owned by the Keepers of the Harvest. You can unlock it by finishing the Book of Christmas Traditions.

The farm has a Water Tower, a Windmill, a Fertilizer Shed, and Fields and Groves, and you’ll be able to harvest all of these over two weeks!

The Keepers’ Farm has five levels, and each level that you upgrade to gives you more benefits than the previous one.

If you have purchased early access to the feature, you’ll start with enough Keys to win a Level 1 Farm. This will make winning a Level 5 Farm much easier!

The Level 5 Keepers’ Farm will give you a maximum of 7560 Water, 6300 Power and 3528 Fertilizer over the course of two weeks! You’ll want to win as many Keys as possible so that you don’t miss out on these benefits.

Remember, you’ll only unlock access to the Keepers’ Farm if you finish hosting all 12 Christmas Traditions!

Normal Mode and Challenge Mode: Choose your own Difficulty!

You can choose the difficulty level at which you play through the event. This choice will be available to you from Page 2 onward.

Each Page you start on will give feature a specific Challenge, and will give you a choice to play through the Page in Normal Mode or Challenge Mode.

There are three types of Challenges:

The Timed Challenge – This Challenge Mode give you 48 hours to complete 12 Tasks. In Normal Mode you’ll have 72 hours to finish 12 Tasks.

The +Tasks Challenge – This Challenge Mode gives you 72 hours to complete 16 Tasks. In Normal Mode you’ll have 72 hours to complete 12 Tasks.

The Mandatory Task Challenge – This Challenge Mode gives you 72 hours to finish 12 Tasks and 1 Mandatory Task. In Normal Mode, you’ll have 72 hours to complete 12 Tasks.

Challenge Mode is harder to complete, but it rewards you with more Keys. By successfully completing Challenge Mode, you’ll win 20 Keys per Page. In comparison, successfully completing Normal Mode will win you 10 Keys per Page.

The more Keys you win, the better your final reward will be!

Click on the appropriate button to choose a play mode. The “Bring it on!” button will start Challenge Mode. The “I’ll take this!” button will start Normal Mode.

Send Christmas Surprises!

You can send gifts to your friends by clicking on the Send Gifts button on each Page of the Book of Christmas Traditions.

You’ll be asked to choose which friends you want to send gifts to. They’ll receive special Christmas surprises, including rare items that they can use to progress in the event!

You’ll be able to send gifts once on each page.

Look out for the Gift Box on your own farm! When you see it, it means that your friends have sent you Christmas surprises.

Click on the Gift Box to view what your friends have sent you.

FarmVille 2 - Look Who Our Sheep Ram Into!

Guess what Gus found on the foothills of Mount Leghorn? Yay! A Baby Ram! Now, he wants your help to make the ram more gentle and also to comfort his sheep so that they can get along. In return, you’ll get your very own baby Arapawa Ram and baby Arapawa Sheep!

If you are level 15 and above, the "Look Who Our Sheep Ram Into!" popup will appear. Click on the "Place Ram Playpen" button to proceed with the feature.

Begin by collecting the materials you need.

Then, ask your friends to help finish it or you can hire builders.

Once the building is complete, your Ram Playpen will look like this.

Click on the building to view the menu and you’ll see that there 2 tasks to complete: “Welcome the Ram!” and “Comfort the Sheep”.

For the first task, you’ll need to collect 5 Mountain Grass and to make 3 Fragrant Pillows to earn the baby Arapawa Ram.

Collect 5 Mountain Grass by completing 5 quests from the Hike the Leghorn! line of quests. You can open the quests by clicking on the “Go To Quest” button in the Ram Playpen menu.

You can also access the quests by clicking the “Hike the Leghorn!” quest icon on the upper left-hand corner of your screen.

To make 3 Fragrant Pillows, click on the “Make It!” button in the Ram Playpen menu and the Crafting Workshop opens. Do not worry if you do not have the complete materials as you can always post for help or call your Co-op!

After completing the tasks and welcoming the Arapawa Ram, you will now receive it for your farm!

The next task is to put the sheep at ease and to do this you need to craft 2 Stuffed Ram Toys, 2 Sheep Pillows, and 3 Fragrant Brushes. Begin crafting by clicking on each of the “Make It!” buttons.

Once all the crafting is completed, you will get the the baby Arapawa Sheep!

Start this feature now as these two amazing animals can’t wait to be in your farm.

FarmVille 2 - The Shadow Theatre!

Thrilled about the Halloween? How about a Shadow Theatre? I've got the perfect story for you to play out. You’ll get this cute Baby African Pygmy Mini Goat as your treat!

If you are level 15, the "Scary Good Time!" popup will appear. Click on the "Place Shadow Theatre!" button to proceed with the feature.

Collect all the materials needed to build the Shadow Theatre.

Invite your friends to be your builder or hire them with Farm bucks.

This is how it would look like once it’s done. Click on the building to access it.

Collect the required number of Shadow Theatre Tickets and invite your friends to complete the goal. There are 4 ways to get a Shadow Theatre Ticket.

1. Complete a task from the Shadow Theatre.
2. Post it to your wall so your friends can send you one.
3. Purchase Shadow Tickets using Farmbucks.
4. Get it as a reward from the “Peek a Boo” line of quest.

There are 4 tasks that you need to complete: The Act I, Act II, ActIII, and The End. Once you’ve collected the required number of Shadow Theatre Tickets, click on the “Take Baby Steps” button to proceed to the next task.

Please note that any excess Shadow Theatre Ticket will carry over for the next set of requirements.

The next task will be unlocked once you’re done with the current task.
